This marine sports shop offers diving and snorkeling services on Cape Maeda located to the northwest of Onna Village. Maeda Cape is a popular spot with a cave called the Blue Cave, where sunlight that enters the ocean and is reflected on the sea floor dyes it a bright and beautiful blue. Characterized by the small number of people per guide, with one for every two to three people when diving and one for each snorkeling group, you will be able to enjoy yourself at your own pace. In addition, it is recommended for graduation and family trips.

Shimane Nita-gun Okuizumocho Yokota 992-2

The Yokota District of Okuizumo is considered the birthplace of the Japanese abacus, or soroban. Called Unshu Soroban, their production was designated a Traditional Craft by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) in 1987. This facility, located next to JR Izumo-Yokota Station, introduces the history, traditional techniques, tools and processes of their manufacture. There are displays of famous examples from ancient days to modern times, as well as soroban made all over Japan, so that anyone who wants can come and experience this important history and traditional themselves. The building exterior has a unique design based on a soroban bead, as well.

出雲横田駅のすぐ横です。松本清張の「砂の器」にも出てくる雲集そろばんの歴史を語ってくれる施設・。そろばんを製作する工程や工具、さらに世界のそろばんのコレクションなど内容豊富です。電卓パソコン全盛の現代ですが、ここへ来るとそろばんも風情があっていいなと思いました。

パラグライダー沢山飛んでいました。どんどん近づいてきます。ＡＫＡＩＷＡパラグライダースクール宇都宮がありました。そこで、自転車とバラグライダーの話で盛り上がりました。自転車よりは確かにコストは安いですね。三年に一回買い替えるのでは自転車より高いですね。(^^;

This workshop was authorized by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as Business innovation which utilizes unique and ingenious pottery kiln method to create original works of pottery inspired by Izu's famous products and scenery. These include their Izu-Shirahama ware (which depicts Izu's famous Shirahama beach), Izu no Sakura to Na no Hana ware (which depicts Izu's famous cherry blossoms and rape blossoms), and Amagi Wasabi ware (which depicts the wasabi grown around Izu's Mt. Amagi). The workshop and its facilities were built by the staff themselves, leaving as many trees standing as possible in order to leverage the natural landscape of Izu Kogen. 川治にてカヌー体験をしました。鬼怒川に泊まっていたのですが、12時30分からの集合だと微妙でした。でも早く着きましたが、丁寧に対応してくださりありがたかったです。意外と近辺はあまり栄えておらず、足湯と個人商店が立ち並んでいました。カヌー体験は楽しかったです。
